Purge and organize

Fri Oct 30, 2009, 4:35 PM
  • Mood: Artistic
  • Listening to: New: Killers, Jason Mraz, Muse
  • Reading: Anthropology articles for class
  • Eating: food
  • Drinking: water
Doing a lot of purging and rearranging around here now since I've been kind of unhappy with how I've had things here lately. I want to focus more on my recent work so I might get rid of a lot of the work I have in my gallery to make way for new artwork that I've been doing in school and hopefully some new art that I will be doing for myself and for some friends and family. Bare with me for the time being and if there's a few pieces that anyone absolutely do not want me to delete let me know.

Sorry for such a late reply!! Things are ok (Learning Japanese, to add to my collection of languages) but busier than a busy thing. Uni is full of busy.

Good. Things are slightly hectic, but nothing too drastic. Japanese!? Cool, I want to learn it, though I imagine I would lose focus after a while.

I have an odd question. Do they have lots of curry places in England (Great Britain...whatever you prefer)? And if so, is there one that is more popular than another. My boyfriend likes to make curry a lot and we were talking about it and he said he thinks of curry when he thinks of England. I thought it was a bit odd, but maybe he isn't that far off?

Anyway, best of luck to you in your current endeavors.

Ive learnt enough languages now to know how i learn one- it's geting past the point where it is this big, scary thing with rules that just requires practice. I have to focus on it mainly because im now paying for my education! I wish i drew more, but i joined the art society, and while ive got no ideas for anything (If i doodle, i get kanji) I can at least keep up the ability to draw. Brave students, those that are life drawing models! Takeaway curry is a huge industry here, to the point where one popular type is rumored to have been invented in Scotland, yet i could be wrong of the place. One that is more popular depends on personal opinion. Im not a big curry fan so i couldnt say, though Tikka is popular. Im sure the internet would know. Curry is an odd one to think of about England, but i suppose i think of the countryside as i grew up by it and have never lived anywhere else! Life is treating you well i hope. We're that bit older now (Ught). How far through are you the higher education system? (If you dont mind me asking?)

I'm three years in to community college, just finishing up general education. I've probably got another 2 years of school left, but most of it will be my major so they should be fun art classes, if not a bit challenging.

My sister just had a foreign exchange student from France stay with us for two weeks, and it made me want to travel really bad. I know you're busy now, but if you ever plan on coming to California, let me know! And if I ever get to visit England (though I hope to make that a "when I get to visit England" rather than "if") I hope that I could meet you in person.

Yes, we are a little older, but still young enough to have so much ahead of us.

Talk to you later.

Mmm. There are a lot of things left to do. And a lot of time to do them in- though i make it sound as if im not 18. Ive had a funny few months, feeling old and not having some strange, strange growing pains emotionally. I think ive come out the other end of it though. Wish i had more time to get better at drawing.. we can't have everything it seems.
